TREATMENT AND SERVICES

As Pediatricians, we recommend regular specialist follow-up for our children to grow and develop physically and socially in a healthy way.
Pediatric cardiologists evaluate the hearts of all children up to the age of 18. They can also examine the heart of babies in the womb with the help of an echocardiography device. Patients apply to us with complaints such as hearing sounds called murmur in the heart, bruising, chest pain, palpitation, fatigue, shortness of breath, dizziness and fainting. Cardiac examination, the child's complaints, if any, and when these complaints started, their character, accompanying findings, whether they used any medication until the examination, etc. It starts with a detailed query of information. The birth of the child, the development until that day, the diseases and interventions he has had, and the drugs he has been using, if any, are learned. It is noted whether there is a family history of heart disease or other disease. Then it goes to the examination. It is checked whether there is a visible disorder in the body. The rib cage, liver size and pulses are checked manually. With a listening device (stethoscope), different parts of the lungs and heart are listened to, and whether there are different sounds from normal sounds, if any, their character, spread, etc. features are evaluated and noted. Blood pressure is measured.

If problems such as deviation from normal in the growth process, slowdown in growth, delay in developmental stages are detected, taking the necessary measures to correct them, supplementing the vitamins and minerals that the child should take for healthy growth, having the necessary health screenings, following the vaccination status against infectious diseases and completing the missing vaccines. and diseases specialist. In addition, all children up to the age of 18 have colds, respiratory tract infections, sinusitis, ear infections, urinary tract infections, diarrhea, rash diseases, allergy diseases, asthma, abdominal pain, etc. Pediatricians also deal with the general problems of children.

EKG (Electrocardiography)

EKG (electrocardiography) is the recording of very low voltage electrical activity produced in the heart muscle and conduction system with the help of a special device and printing it on paper. In order to perform the shooting, sensors called electrodes are placed on the patient's wrists, ankles and left chest. Shooting takes a few minutes. It's pretty easy and doesn't hurt. Although some ECG findings can be seen in congenital or acquired heart diseases, the disease group in which ECG is most useful is rhythm disorders. ECG taken during palpitation is usually diagnostic in patients with palpitations. The diagnostic value of ECGs taken when the patient has no complaints is lower.

Fetal Echocardiography (Fetal Echo)

Fetal echocardiography (fetal echo) is an ultrasonography performed to investigate the baby in the womb in terms of heart diseases. With the help of sound waves, the baby's heart is displayed. Fetal echo does not cause any harm to the mother and the unborn baby. No radiation is used in imaging. With the fetal echo method, the presence of congenital heart disease and its type, if any, are detected with an accuracy of 80-90%. If babies with severe heart disease are detected before they are born, there will be no deficiency or delay in performing the necessary postnatal intervention. If a rhythm disorder is detected in the baby, the mother is given medication to normalize the baby's heart rhythm. The ideal time for Fetal Echo is between the 18th and 22nd of pregnancy. between weeks. Fetal Echo lasts for an average of 15-30 minutes, but may take longer if the image quality is low or requires detailed examination.

Echocardiography (Echo)

Echocardiography (Echo)
ECO is a procedure that allows children to view their hearts with the help of sound waves such as ultrasound. No radiation is used during imaging. Kids don't get hurt either. ECO is performed by pediatric cardiologist. It allows us to obtain information about the structure of the heart, the force of contraction, the disorders, if any, and the severity of these disorders. It is performed in a lying position and takes approximately 15-30 minutes.

Vaccine Tracking

Vaccine; It is a method that allows the weakened or dead states of microbes to be given to the baby's body, allowing him to recognize that microbe and develop methods to combat it. One of the most important conditions for preparing your baby's immune system against aggressive viruses so that it can fight microbes and infections around it: INFINITY VACCINATION is to be given regularly.

The fact that the baby is already being given a dead or weakened microbe should not cause concern that the baby will become ill. This does not cause the baby to be sick. On the contrary, it is a precaution that tries to prevent the baby from getting sick. However, although vaccines do not provide 100% protection against every disease, they help to pass the disease in a short time by reducing the risk of severe transmission.

Vaccines are highly protective against diseases in the vaccine:

Hepatitis (Jaundice), Diphtheria, Tetanus, Pertussis, Tuberculosis, Polio (polio), Measles, Rubella, Mumps, Chickenpox, Pneumonia (pneumonia), Meningitis, Influenza, Rotavirus, Cervical Cancer (HPV)

Newborn - Physical Development (Growth) Tracking

The concept of child development describes the physical, psychological and social changes that the baby shows as time progresses from the moment of birth. Among the main factors affecting child development; environmental factors such as heredity, diet, living conditions and experiences.
All over the world, the physical development of children is measured, compared and monitored using indices showing the average level of development. In this physical follow-up, the weight, height and head circumference of infants and children are measured and it is checked whether there are deviations from the healthy average.
Babies and children are social beings like all other humans. For this reason, the social development of babies, which expresses the development of their ability to adapt to the social environment they are in, should be followed as well as their physical development. Many behaviors such as smiling, talking, touching and even eating are part of this development.
The development of the baby or child may not go as desired and there may be deviations from healthy averages in the developmental process due to many reasons originating from the baby or child, parents or external factors such as environment and nutrition. We call all of these conditions developmental disorders.

Infection Treatment

Infections are diseases caused by micro-organisms such as bacteria and viruses. These are the situations that need attention, as the child's immune system will develop over time and may cause dangerous situations such as high fever. The most common types of infections in childhood are as follows.
Respiratory tract infections are the general name given to viral and bacterial infections that occur in the respiratory organs. Upper Respiratory Tract Infections for those affecting the mouth, throat, nose and pharynx; Those that affect the lower respiratory organs such as pneumonia and bronchitis are called lower respiratory tract infections. Respiratory tract infections are diseases that should be taken seriously and require physician follow-up, especially for infants and children.
Ear infections are one of the most common infections in babies and children. They can be caused by viruses or bacteria. Since the Eustachian tube is short in infants and children, it is very common for upper respiratory tract infections to pass into the ear. If ear infections are not treated, they can cause serious hearing loss in the future.
Another common type of infection in children is urinary tract infections. A very large part of urinary tract infections are bacteria (especially) that can reach from the urinary tract to the bladder. These infections are more common in infants and children, especially girls, due to structural reasons. These infections must be followed up and treated.
Since infections are diseases caused by micro-organisms such as bacteria and viruses, the treatment of infection basically involves combating these micro-organisms. While simple viral infections such as colds and flu can be treated almost spontaneously with rest and painkillers-fever-reducing drugs, plenty of rest and fluid consumption; Especially in bacterial infections, antibiotics should be used. In some cases, some surgical interventions may be required for the treatment of infection to become permanent.
